Programming of PC series

Theoretical course with practical exercises at the programming workstation

Target group: CNC programmers, automatic lathe setters, production planners
Duration: 5 days (Mon 8:30am to Fri 2:30pm)

Prerequisites

Experience in the area of turning technology, knowledge of the work sequence on multi-spindle automatics including NC programming (DIN 66025).

Learning objectives

Refreshing knowledge on the method of operation and equipment of the PC series. Basic comprehension of the control concept of the PC series. Aids for process configuration. Preparation and optimisation of NC programs.

Training Concept

  • Basic structure and method of operation of the PC series
  • Menu navigation and machine operation with the user software SICS
  • Explanation of the control concept, curve generator, NC technology
  • Basic principles of NC programming, command scopes, structure of the workpiece program
  • Machine devices, tool system and the corresponding production processes
  • Structure and preparation of a machine configuration
  • Basic principles of a machining sequence, determination of part-production times, structure of setup plan
  • Programming of special devices, auxiliary drives
  • File management and data structures
  • Analysis methods, optimisation aids, machine data
