Electrical Service for the SCX Series
Theoretical course with practical components on a real machine
Target audience: Maintenance and service personnel
Duration: 5 days (Monday 8:30 a.m. to Friday 2:30 p.m.)
Prerequisites
In-depth knowledge of SINUMERIK 840D Solution Line, Step7, SIMODRIVE/SINAMICS, and the ASi-Bus and Profibus systems. Additionally, course participants must have previously attended a SINUMERIK 840D Solution Line training course at Siemens.
The course is designed for qualified electricians.
Learning Objectives
Independent and systematic troubleshooting. Understanding of hardware and software. Replacement of electrical components.

- SCX base machine
- Concept and structure of the control system with dual NCU
- Menu structure, menu flow, and operation of the SICS interface
- Circuit diagrams/hardware
- Bus systems
- Software architecture, configuration, and software tools
- Diagnostics (Scope, Scope function)
