- Option for automatic assignment of grinding wheels to grinding operations
- Practical, customer-specific presets for technology parameters
- Maximum flexibility through the free combinability of operations and tooth-specific parameterization
- Integrated 3D simulation
- Machine room simulation based on realistic 3D models
- Automatic collision monitoring
Growing with Your Needs
With SIGSpro, you have access to a large library of grinding operations that is continuously expanded and adapted to market requirements. Individual grinding operations can be freely combined and used as often as needed in a production sequence. For tools with differently designed cutting edges, you can enable or disable all grinding operations on a tooth-by-tooth basis or assign tooth-specific parameters. You can also vary many parameters, such as the clearance angle and rake angle, along the cutting edge.
If a specific machining variant has not been predefined by us, you can either use a “free grinding path” or add the required grinding operation to the operation library yourself as a “free operation.”
- Large, continuously expanding library of grinding operations
- Unrestricted combinability of grinding operations without limitations based on workpiece groups
- Option for tooth-specific parameterization for nearly all grinding operations
- Option for variable parameter values along the cutting edge
- Customizable expansion options via free operations
One of our users aptly and convincingly described the high versatility of SIGSpro in a technical article: “The tool that cannot be manufactured with SIGSpro has yet to be invented.”
Reliable Production Through 3D Simulation

With the integrated 3D simulation, you ensure safe production right from the first workpiece. Immediately after entering the parameters, the programmed workpiece is displayed, allowing you to verify it.
Optionally, in addition to the workpiece, you can also display the grinding wheel, the grinding wheel stack, the clamping device, or the entire grinding machine. At the selected level of detail, you can then also run the grinding process or parts of the grinding process.

In addition to the simple display of the workpiece, SIGSpro offers numerous analysis options. For rotationally symmetric workpieces, you can calculate and display the rotational contour, and then quickly and reliably assess whether the workpiece has been provided with a sufficiently large clearance angle throughout by rotating the workpiece within its own rotational contour.
You can use a freely configurable grid to measure angles, linear dimensions, or chamfer widths. You can apply all analysis functions to the workpiece or to freely definable sections through the workpiece.

To monitor and ensure the production process in the machine room simulation, the set machine configuration—including clamping devices and auxiliary clamping aids such as supports or tailstocks—is displayed realistically.

You can check grinding programs generated by SIGSpro for potential collisions. You can specify which machine components should be checked and with what safety margins the check should be performed.
If you have mounted multiple grinding wheels on a mandrel, the passive grinding wheel is considered part of the mandrel. This ensures that you are also alerted to collisions between the passive grinding wheel and the workpiece.

Even if you use custom-made clamping devices or clamping aids such as tailstock centers, sleeves, half-shells, or prisms in conjunction with the support, you benefit from 3D collision monitoring. SIGSpro provides a 3D editor for this purpose, allowing you to create these components and incorporate them into the collision monitoring.
