Fast, Precise, and Powerful for Your Practice
Our PC series machines are designed for machining geometrically complex parts made of hard and tough materials. The CNC multi-spindle automatic lathes feature a robust design, long service life, and manufacturing flexibility.

Robust, Durable, and Flexible
Machines in the PC series produce ready-to-install precision parts in small and medium batch sizes, as well as mass-produced turned parts. They are used by automotive manufacturers and suppliers, in the valve, pneumatic, and hydraulic industries, and in contract manufacturing.
- High machining capacity
- Wide grooving and heavy-duty drilling operations
- Short cycle times – extremely fast, multi-axis CNC control
- Six or eight workpiece spindles—optionally controllable independently of one another
- Each workpiece spindle has its own longitudinal and cross slide feeds with a direct position measurement system
- Rear-side machining with up to three tools
- Modularly expandable CNC functionalities
- Short setup, non-productive, and cycle times that can be easily programmed via 56 CNC axes

Solid Machine Construction as a Foundation
Every performance requires a foundation. Whether integrating various processes, machining tough materials, or ensuring speed, precision, and reliable processes, this foundation is a stable machine structure. The modular and flexible Schütte concept is based on over 100 years of experience in machine tool manufacturing.
- Stable base structure thanks to proven frame construction
- Bed and spindle housing made of mineral cast iron ensure high damping and thermal stability
- Optimal longitudinal slide guidance all the way to the cutting point thanks to the Schütte block
- Positioning of the spindle drum via three-piece Hirth-tooth rings
- Cooling of hydraulics and cooling lubricant (optional)

Modular Spindle Concept, Cost-Effective Production
How effectively a production tool operates depends crucially on how well the technologies used work together. For the PC multi-spindle machines, Schütte has developed a drive concept that meets the requirements of high-performance production just as well as those for energy efficiency.
- Central drive with high torque
- Switchable single-spindle drives for position-specific speed selection
- Freely programmable speed profile
- Optimization of machining and cycle time
Flexibility That Secures your Competitive Advantage
- Spindle, feed, and drum control are digitally regulated. The control quality ensures high contour accuracy during copy turning and the surface quality of turned surfaces
- Compact, powerful hydraulic feed drives
- Direct, high-resolution measuring system
- Interface to the SWS 400 quick-change system for turning tools
- HSK interface for drilling tools
- Integrated handling and removal device
- Damage-free and controlled removal of workpieces
Cross Slides for Complex Geometries
The cross slides of the PC series make even complex contours possible. Typical applications for cross slides include contour turning and thread turning. Any rotationally symmetric contours, such as cones, spherical shapes, free-form sections, and radius transitions, can be machined on the inside or outside.
- Also used in conjunction with driven devices, e.g., for polygon turning in the longitudinal turning process, milling, or eccentric drilling
- Up to 15 CNC cross slides per machine type
- CNC cross slides can be easily and conveniently installed and retrofitted for the rear side of the workpiece
- CNC cross slides as a basis for fixtures, stationary or driven, and for toolholder systems
- Any external and internal contours with simple standard cutting tools
- Hydrodynamic flat guides for the cross slides in the transverse direction
- Hydrodynamic trough guide for the cross slides in the longitudinal direction
Can be Retrofitted at Any Time for Additional Tasks

Complete machining often involves combining different manufacturing processes. Machining both tough and high-strength materials requires sophisticated, flexible cutting technology. Drives, tooling, and auxiliary equipment are configured entirely according to the customer’s requirements. The machine can be retrofitted at any time later on as the range of applications expands.
An extensive range of accessories is available for the PC series. This allows the machine to be equipped according to the machining task. These include, among others:
- CNC counter spindle with precision chuck
- Longitudinal drilling spindles with HSK interface
- Drilling unit with adjustable eccentricity from 0 mm to 26 mm and HSK interface, driven either via a gear set or via the variable tool drive
- Polygon impact device with adjustable drive
- Milling unit with end mills or for slot milling
- Pre-adjustable tool system SWS 400
- Workpiece retrieval device for damage-free workpiece removal
- Thread tapping or thread rolling unit, axial or radial, as well as powerful drives with high torque and programmable speed profiles
- Y-axis with CNC functionality and up to two driven tools
- Cross-drilling unit for off-center drilling and milling
Programming for Practical Applications and Practitioners

Controlling 56 or more axes requires sophisticated hardware and control technology—especially if you do not want to leave operation and programming solely to specialists. The “SICS 2000” technology and user interface is designed to provide typical features such as camshafts, cam mechanisms, and special machining cycles.
This is supported by a flat, user-friendly control panel. The “SICS 2000” user interface is tailored to the specific requirements of a multi-spindle machine according to operating modes and control areas—related processes are grouped into menus. Programming and optimization can be carried out step-by-step in accordance with the technological sequence and with extensive user support.
- The hardware basis is a fast industrial PC
- Visualization of the motion sequence of the machine axes
- All drive elements—electric drives, main spindle drive, and hydraulic slide drives—are controlled axes
- 56 axes (and optionally more) can be programmed with “SICS 2000”
- All machine axes are coordinated via a central computer
- A Profibus system connects the control system, drive controllers, and operator console
- The programming system ensures simple and reliable programming
- Machine and program analysis via online service
