Setup and Programming of the G Series
Theoretical course with practical content on a real machine
Target audience: Machine setters, machine operators, CNC programmers, production planners
Duration: 5 days (Monday 8:30 a.m. to Friday 2:30 p.m.)
Prerequisites
Experience in turning technology, experience with multi-spindle automatic lathes, and knowledge of NC programming (DIN 66025).
Learning Objectives
Basic understanding of the functionality and features of the G series. Procedures for retooling and setting up a new workpiece on the machine. Explanation of operating concepts. Tools for process design and integration of CNC operations.
Training Content
- Basic structure and operation of the G series
- HMI / AHS menu navigation and machine operation
- Fundamentals of a machining sequence, cycle time calculation, structure of the setup plan
- Selection and design of cams and indexing wheels
- Tooling system and presetting methods, coolant concepts
- Alignment procedures, setting workpiece dimensions
- Standard and auxiliary equipment and the corresponding manufacturing processes
- Integration of CNC equipment and its programming
- Scope and function of auxiliary units
