Applications
Milling Cutters

Basic Shapes
- Basic shape: cylindrical or conical
- Manufacturing or regrinding
- End face shape: flat, with chamfer, corner radius, double radius, or full radius
- Equal or unequal pitch
- Helix and cutting directions

Variable Helix
- Functional extension for milling cutters with variable helix
- Individual assignment of helix angle and pitch per tooth
- Option for variable helix along the cutting edge
- Option for constant web width

Step and Profile Cutters
- Functional extension for machining step and profile cutters
- Programming of the outer contour in the user-friendly SIGSpro contour editor
- Import of DXF or GDX files possible
- Capability for simple steps (bevel/shoulder) as well as shaped steps
- Choice of arc-shaped, chamfer-shaped, or line-shaped relief

Spherical Burrs
- Functional extension for ball-end mills with an included angle of up to 300 degrees
- Grinding operations for the rake face and up to three peripheral clearance angles

Rotary Cutters
- Functional extension for the production of rotary cutters
- Casing contour: - Standard basic shapes: sphere, oval, flame, pointed radius, and sugar loaf - User-specific, definition of the casing contour via the contour editor - Parametrizable field tooth profile in the center - Grinding operations for the flutes and chip breakers

Disc Cutters
- Functional extension for straight- or cross-toothed disc cutters
- Manufacturing or regrinding
- Straight design, with chamfer or corner radius
- Option for freely definable flank contours

Pine Tree Cutters/Form Cutters
- Functional extension for the production of Christmas tree cutters and other profile cutters
- Back relief optionally chamfered or linear
- “Logarithmic relief” option: The relief can be calculated so that the target contour is maintained even after multiple regrinding of the cutting edge
- “Roughing tooth” variant: A wave profile is superimposed, to which a separate starting point can be assigned on each cutting edge
