Programming level II of the SCX series

Theoretical course with practical exercises at the programming workstation.

Target group: CNC programmer, automatic lathe setters with NC skills
Duration: 3 days (Mon 08:30am - 2:30pm)

Prerequisites

Experience in programming of CNC machines. Knowledge of the method of operation of the SCX and successful participation in the course "Programming I" or knowledge of the presented learning content.

Learning objectives

More detailed knowledge of programming the SCX. Introduction to high-level language programming. Comprehension and optimisation of non-production times. Programming of complex contours. Case analyses.

Training content

  • Basic structure and control concept of the SCX series
  • Axis frame and channel assignments, communication between NC and PLC
  • Structure and menu navigation of the user software SICS, structure of the NC program
  • Programming with transformations, multi-axis movements
  • Subroutines, standard and special cycles
  • Program loops, program jumps and program branches
  • Synchronous actions, frame shifting, rotations, contouring control
  • Version programming, linkage, parameterisation
  • Analysis methods, part-production time analyses, optimisation approaches, troubleshooting
