Programming level I of SCX series

Theoretical course with practical exercises at the programming workstation.

Target group: CNC programmers, automatic lathe setters, production planners
Duration: 5 days (Mon 08:30am to Fri 2:30pm)

Prerequisites

Experience in the area of turning technology. Professional experience in the handling of multi-spindle automatics and knowledge of NC programming (DIN 66025).

Auffrischung über die Funktionsweise und Ausstattung der Baureihe SCX. Grundlegendes Verständnis über das Steuerungskonzept der Baureihe SCX. Hilfsmittel für die Prozessauslegung. Erstellung und Optimierung von NC-Programmen.

Learning objectives

  • Refreshing knowledge on the method of operation and equipment of the SCX series.
  • Basic comprehension of the control concept of the SCX series. Aids for process configuration. Preparation and optimisation of NC programs.

  • Basic structure and method of operation of the SCX series
  • Explanation of the control concept, axis frame and channel assignments, NC and PLC
  • Menu navigation and machine operation with the user software SICS
  • Basic principles of NC programming, co-ordinate systems
  • Structure of the workpiece program, command scopes, functions, standard cycles
  • Machining devices, tool system and the corresponding production processes
  • Basic principles of a machining sequence, determination of part-production time, setup plan and tool list
  • Structure and preparation of a tool configuration, standard and optional axes
  • Example programs of standard machining operations
  • Programming with transformations, multi-axis movements, process monitoring
  • File management and data structures, work with subprograms
  • Analysis methods, machine data
